The Prayer Room Church

OUR BEGINNINGS

The prayer room church was birthed in the hearts of Pastors Robert and Jennifer Walker in 2013. After several trips to other countries where they experienced the tangible presence of god in the most impoverished areas of the world, they received a mandate from the lord to gather other believers together to form an assembly in accordance to Acts 2:46-47.

The Prayer Room church started as a home church in
the Oak Ridge area of Spring/Woodlands, Texas.

WHO WE ARE

A FAMILY

What God has formed here has been a beautiful group of people that encourage the freedom of worship and ministering in the spirit with dignity and order. We strongly believe that the body of Christ was formed from the beginning of time, to heal itself.
So no matter where you are in your walk with the Lord, we want to disciple you to bring you to your highest calling in the Kingdom of God.

It was Gods intent to have a family from the beginning. So many times we can feel lost in our own families but Jesus said in Matthew 12:50

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.

One of the most impacting attributes of The Prayer Room is a sense
of family that you feel from the members here. We get to actually
live life together in so many ways. Koinonia is something that we strongly believe in.
We truly believe that there must be no one
left behind in our experiences while walking with the Lord and
we do that through fellowship.

OUR CORE BELIEFS

The Bible is the written, inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
It is the first and last source of authority in our lives.
We need the Bible more than our daily physical food. Our day starts and ends with the Bible.
The Word of God is at work in those who believe (1 Thessalonians 2:13).

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons:
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; John 14:16).
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior
(John 1:1, 14; 20:28-29; Philippians 2:6-11; Isaiah 9:6; Colossians 2:9).

He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:34-35; Isaiah 7:14),
lived a sinless life
(2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; 7:26-27; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 2:22),
was born in the form of a human being here on earth
(John 1:14), performed miracles
(Matthew 4:23; Luke 6:17-19; John 3:2), paid for our sins through
His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood
(Colossians 1:14, 20; Romans 5:8-9; Ephesians 1:7),
was resurrected (1 Corinthians 15:3-4;
Luke 24:4-7; 36-48; Revelation 1:17-18; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21
),
ascended to the right hand of the Father (Acts 2:33, 5:30-31; 1 Peter 3:22)
where He remains now (Ephesians 1:20).

Jesus Christ will return from heaven to earth in power and in glory
(Acts 1:11; Philippians 2:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-18; John 14:1-3)
to resurrect both the saved and the lost; those who are saved
unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost
unto the resurrection of damnation
(John 5:28-29; Mark 14:62; 2 Thessalonians 1:2-10; Revelation 1:5-7; 20:4-5; 11-12)
